CAF Champions League contenders Enyimba FC have progressed in this year’s men’s Federation Cup competition after outshooting El-Kanemi Warriors 4-2 on penalties in their Round of 32 clash in Abuja on Wednesday.

In the only women’s Federation Cup quarter -final played today, Cup holders Sunshine Queens were booted out, losing 1-2 to Rivers Angels in Abuja.

Nasarawa United also shot into the men’s Federation Cup quarter –finals by defeating Dynamite FC of Benin City 1-0 in Lokoja, the same scoreline in Akure as Wikki Tourists bundled out fellow NPFL side Plateau United.

FC IfeanyiUbah knocked out Katsina United 2-0 in Ilorin, at a match attended by violence as fans of Katsina United were reported to have encroached on the field of play and match officials had to run for their lives.

Warri Wolves and Prime FC of Oshogbo went to sudden death penalties, following a 1-1 draw in regulation time, before Wolves prevailed 8-7.
