A late minute free kick goal by Osas Okoro helped the CHAN Eagles to a 1-1 draw against a Kano Selected side in a preparatory game played at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Tuesday.
Coach Salisu Yusuf used the game to further drill his side as they intensify their training ahead of the 2018 CHAN qualifiers against Benin Republic.
A defensive mix up had allowed the Kano Selected side, made up of, mostly Kano Pillars players, to steal the lead in the first quarter of the first half in spite of the dominance of the national team.
The dominance continued in the second half with the CHAN team failing to convert the chances they created until Osas Okoro’s late leveler saved their blushes.
This is the second practice game the CHAN Eagles have played in Kano after defeating Kano Pillars Feeders team 3-1 last Friday.
