The Ondo South Development Forum has rallied stakeholders behind functional vocational and technical training, describing both at the bedrock of economic development.
The maiden forum, recently at the Government Technical College, Okitipupa, Ondo State, reiterated that stakeholders like government at all levels, organised private sector, non-government organisations, traditional institutions, parents, teachers and students all have essential roles to play.
Guest speaker and Chief Operating Officer, CITA Petroleum Limited, Olasimbo Betiku, observed that the Nigerian environment is not new to Vocational and Technical Education (VTE) in the development of youths and the economy. However, fresh effort is required in the light of contemporary challenges.
