Presidential candidate of Grassroots Development Party of Nigeria (GDPN), Dr. Davidson Isibor Akhimien, has promised to address the problems of insecurity in Nigeria if elected next year. He said he has the prerequisite knowledge and capacity, especially in the security sector, to tame the rising cases of insecurity in the country.

Speaking during a fund raising in Lagos over the weekend, the GDPN presidential flag bearer for the 2019 election said his background in security management places him at advantageous position to tackle the rising spate of insecurity currently threatening the cooperate existence of Nigeria since the return of democratic governance in 1999.
