Fulani settlers in Ekiti State on Sunday, under the aegis of Gan Allah Fulani Association of Nigeria (GAFDAN), Ekiti , waved the olive branch, saying they were ready to end hostilities with their host farmers in the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria, (NAN) reports that they also pledged readiness to live in peace and harmony with communities where their members were operating commercial ventures.
The association, in a statement by its state Chairman, Alhaji Issa Adamu, assured that all necessary logistic measures had already been taken to make sure there was peace between Ekiti famers and herdsmen.
The Fulani association said it believed in the safety of Ekiti State and Nigeria at large.
Adamu said said his members had resolved to maintain peaceful co-existence and overall socio-economic development of the state and Nigeria, in honour of Gov. Kayode Fayemi.
