Following the ongoing EU/UNICEF Hard to Reach Programme, no fewer than 1,050 settlements across the 21 Local Governments have been covered in Kebbi State.

Briefing newsmen shortly after the EU team leaders who took an official visit to hard to reach village Jadadi in Arewa Local Government, the Team leader of the hard to reach, Hajiya Ibrahim Hauwa Tahir said that out of over 2000 villages to be covered in kebbi State, 1,050 settlements have been done, by treating people with different illness.

She said that the aimed of the programme is to assist the less privileged most especially in the remote areas where people cannot have access to the hospitals.

Hauwa who was a registered midwife, commended the efforts of the EU/UNICEF for assisting peoples with illness adding that the programme has made a significant impact on the people most especially on the cases Malaria, ringing worm, maternal mortality, polio immunization, diahorial, PNC postnatal and other minor sickness.“people…
