Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi has said the state government has increased its daily Coronavirus testing capacity to 2000.
Abayomi stated this at a press briefing to commemorate the one year anniversary of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The commissioner further said 50 specialised intensive care providers have also been engaged to attend to Coronavirus patients in the state as there has been a recent increase in the number of patients requiring such services.
Abayomi said the current administration also improved management and reduction of HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases, while reproductive health and malaria prevention Programmes also received a boost.
According to him, in the last one year, the State improved on human and material resources across all it’s healthcare facilities and in the next few weeks, two additional Mother and Child Care Centres would be inaugurated…
