As FG commissions 4366 Digital Economy Projects Over 100 million Nigerians have been issued the National Identification Number (NIN) by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

Meanwhile, the Federal government has unveiled 4366 Digital Economy Projects executed under the supervision of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.

Speaking at the virtual commissioning of the projects yesterday, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy,Isa Ali Pantami observed that the NIMC Data base moved from 39 million of 13 years ago to over 100 million in less than three years.

Pantami stated that the amount spent in 13 years to register just 39 million Nigerians was mind blowing adding that no kobo has been given to NIMC for the registration since October 2020, as NIMC has been supported to carry out the task through Corporate Social Responsibilities of some Tech giants.
