The Nigerian Army said it has achieved significant successes in multiple operations across the North East and North Central geo-political regions of the country.

Making the announcement on Saturday in their X-handle, the troops on April 18, 2024, intervened to foil a kidnapping in Lankaviri community in Karim Lamido local government of Taraba State.

Stating that one Musa Arewa was rescued from three armed kidnappers who had subjected him to torture, the troops, according to the army, arrested the suspects and recovered three locally-made guns from him.

In its usual collaborative effort with hunters and other security agencies in the state, the troops, as made known in the handle, also conducted a fighting patrol to clear communities infiltrated by terrorists.

The Army said that during the operation, a notorious terrorist, whom they identified as Gambo Kachallah, was nabbed and neutralized in several affected communities in the State.
