The National Commissioner of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), Dr. Vincent Olatunji, has been appointed as an ID4Africa Deputy Ambassador for Nigeria.

NDPC disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.

Dr. Olatunji’s appointment, effective January 1, 2025, makes him a member of the ID4Africa Ambassadors Bureau across Africa.

“The ID4Africa Ambassadors Bureau constitutes the Ambassadors Council, which is the governance body for the ID4Africa Movement,” NDPC said.

“It plays a critical role in guiding identity development efforts and advancing the identification agenda across and beyond the Continent.”

Dr. Olatunji’s appointment by the Executive Chairman of ID4Africa, Dr. Joseph Atick, was in recognition of his commitment to data protection as well as identity and digital transformation in Africa and beyond, as it aligns with the ID4Africa Movement.
