The Oyo State Government, on Tuesday, inaugurated the digitalisation of its traffic management system.
At the inauguration in Ibadan, Gov. Seyi Makinde said the digitalisation, in partnership with Globacom Limited, embodied his administration’s vision to leverage technology in addressing challenges of governance.
The governor, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr Segun Ogunwuyi, said technology would enhance efficiency and the quality of life of the citizenry.
“Digitising the Oyo State Road Traffic Management (OYRTMA), through deployment of real-time traffic monitoring systems, will improve traffic flow.
“It will also reduce the stress and delays faced by road users daily.
“The advanced surveillance systems will enhance safety by enabling swift responses to accidents and incidents.
“Automated systems will equally minimise manual intervention, increasing the overall efficiency of OYRTMA operations,” he…
