Ex-Super Eagles Stars React To Qatar 2022 W/Cup Qualifying Group

Former Nigeria internationals, Tijani Babangida, Joseph Dosu and Garba Lawal have given their thoughts on the Super Eagles Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying group, Completesports.com reports.

On Tuesday, the draw for next World Cup was made with the Eagles drawn in Group C alongside Cape Verde, Liberia and Central Africa Republic.

The 14 winners from the First Round joined Africa’s top-ranked 26 sides in the draw.

The 40 teams were split into 10 groups of four for the second qualifying round.

The 10 winners of the groups will be drawn against each other in home and away fixtures, with the five victors advancing to Qatar 2022.

Speaking with Completesports.com, Babangida who was at the France 1998 World Cup, expressed confidence the Eagles should go through to the qualifying play-offs.

“It is a very good starter for the Super Eagles,” the former Ajax winger and Atlanta 1996 gold medal winner said.
