Legendary England striker Alan Shearer has backed Manchester United to secure Champions League qualification for next season.
Shearer posited that Chelsea’s trip to Liverpool could be a potential turning point in the race for the top four.
Man United missed their chance to climb above both Chelsea and Leicester thanks to Michael Obafemi’s last-gasp equaliser, and sit fifth with only three games remaining.

However, Man United take on each of Crystal Palace, West Ham and Leicester in their final three outings, meaning that their European hopes are in their own hands.
In a chat with Premier League Productions, Shearer said of Man United: “I think they’ll be the favourites. They’re the team that’s going into it with form.
“I know they’ll have been disappointed with dropping points, but it’s still in their hands.
“They win all three, they go into the top four. They’ve got the players to do that.
