Bayern Edge Dortmund To Claim Record German Super Cup Title

Bayern Munich narrowly defeated rivals Borussia Dortmund 3-2 to claim a record German Super Cup title on Wednesday night.

Bayern claimed their eight Super Cup Title, the most won by a German side in the history of the competition.

    Thomas Muller clinched his 27th trophy following Bayern’s win making him the most decorated German player of all time. 

    Corentin Tolisso put Bayern 1-0 ahead in the 18th minute while Muller made it 2-0 on 32 minutes.

    Seven minutes after Bayern’s second goal, Julian Brandt made it 2-1 and 10 minutes into the second half Erling Haaland drew Dortmund level.

    But with eight minutes remaining in the encounter Joshua Kimmich scored the winner to end the game 3-2 in favour of the Bundesliga and Champions League holders.
