American coach Randy Waldrum says he can’t wait to commence work with the Super Falcons.
Waldrum replaced Swede coachThomas Dennerby who left his position as Falcons handler after the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
And after interacting with some of the Falcons players like Asisat Oshoala, Onome Ebi, Osinachi Ohale and Ini Umotong via social media, Waldrum says he is looking forward to meeting them.
“Had a great time meeting the players a few weeks ago! Can’t wait to get started with them!” he wrote on his Twitter handle.
The 64-year-old will work with former Falcons goalkeeper Ann Chiejine, who is the first Assistant Coach.
In October 2017, Waldrum was appointed to be technical adviser and head coach of the Falcons ahead of the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations qualification but turned down the offer.
