Joe Aribo says hitting the gym on a regular basis has helped improve his performance for Rangers this season, reports Completesports.com.
The Nigeria international has become an influential figure for the Gers this season playing a key role in their quest for domestic and European success.
The midfielder has scored two goals in his last two appearances against Royal Antwerp and Dundee United.
Gym sessions with Glen Kamara and Connor Goldson have helped Aribo bulk up to allow him to handle the rough and tumble nature of Scottish football.
In Ianis Hagi and Steven Davis, both sleight and skilful yet hugely significant, he has the perfect role models.
“I knew when I first came in that I wasn’t the biggest but I have been trying to put on weight and fill out a shirt for a long time,”Aribo was quoted by Glasgow Times.
“I knew I had to be in the gym and I tried to do as much gym work as possible.
