Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has disclosed that new signing Nnamdi Oforboh will not feature for the club in the short term due to a heart issue.
The Nigeria midfielder linked up with the Gers on a free transfer from Sky Bet Championship club Bournemouth this summer.
Gerrrad revealed that Oforboh has been referred to specialists after a routine heart scan detected some possible cause for concern.
“I don’t think you’ll see him in the short term,”he told Rangers TV after Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal.
“Unfortunately something has flagged up with his ECG, which is the heart test.
