Bassey Gets 3rd Assist Of Season In Rangers’ 6-1 Away Win At Motherwell


Calvin Bassey grabbed his third assist of the season as Rangers came from a goal down to defeat Motherwell 6-1, in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday, reports.

It was Bassey’s first in the league while his two other assists came in the League Cup.


Also in action for Rangers were Leon Balogun and Joe Aribo who came off on 78 and 82 minutes respectively.

The massive win saw Rangers remain top on 27 points and go four points clear of bitter rivals Celtic.

Against the run of play, Motherwell took the lead on 13 minutes after Rangers conceded a cheap corner, which Sondre Solholm Johnson initially had a free-header on. McGregor saved well from him, but the ball fell for the unmarked Bevis Mugabi at the back post to fire home.

With two minutes left in the first half, Rangers equalised thanks to James Tavenier.
