Moriyasu Claims Japan ‘Global Standard’ After Win Vs Germany


Japan coach, Hajime Moriyasu has praised his team, following their win over Germany at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and claims that Samurai Blue has reached world-class status.

Japan defeated the Nationalelf (National Eleven) of Germany 2-1 in a Qatar 2022 Group E encounter at the Khalifa International Stadium on November 23.


Moriyasu fielded questions from journalists during a post-match press conference and spoke highly of his players’ capabilities.

“We are reaching the global standard,” BBC Sport quoted Moriyasu as saying.

“We are showing our capability from Asian football. They have a wonderful goalkeeper however our players were very intelligent.
