Napoli and Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen, has revealed he had a conversation with then Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger about the possibility of moving to the Emirates when he was 18 years old.
Osimhen, 24, is a subject of transfer speculation. And he is currently being linked with both Manchester United and Chelsea.
In 29 games across all competitions, Osimhen has tallied 25 goals, 21 of which have come in Serie A.
With Napoli leading the league by 19 points at the top of the standings, his strong offensive record has given them the edge to win the scudetto since 1990.
Osimhen spoke with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger before signing with Wolfsburg when he was 18 years old.
The 24-year-old said this while speaking with CentreGoals as claimed by talkSPORT: “I spoke with Arsene Wenger and he wanted me to come to Arsenal but it was not the best option at the time.”
