South Korea FA Celebrates Victory Against Flying Eagles

The Korea Football Association (KFA) has expressed joy after the country’s U-20 team beat Nigeria’s Flying Eagles in the quarter-final of the 2023 U-20 FIFA World Cup in Argentina.

South Korea pipped the Flying Eagles 1-0 after extra-time on Sunday at the Estadio Unico Madre de Ciudades.

Seuk-Hyun Choi was the hero for the Koreans as his 94th minute strike sealed a last four spot for his side.

Reacting to its country’s U-20 team’s win, the KFA took to Twitter to celebrate their victory.

“(FT) South Korea 1-0 Nigeria After 120 minutes of bloody battle, they endured with mental strength, and the Republic of Korea won. We are so proud of our players, making another history! Now Korea is going to meet Italy in the semifinals! Thank you to all the soccer fans who supported us!,” they wrote.

South Korea will now face Italy in the semi-final while Uruguay and Israel will slug it out.
