In a move that enchew transparency in his bid to become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, leader of the TakeItBack Movement and Presidential aspirant Omoyele Sowore has disclosed the fund balance in movement Presidential campaign account. In a post on his Facebook page, Sowore appreciate his fans and share the screenshot of the account.

“Good Morning Folks: I am grateful to those who donated generously to our campaign fund in Nigeria this month of June. I am sharing with you a snapshot of our account details because unlike GoFundMe, donations into the Nigeria account can’t be accessed by donors. Through your help we were able to increase the tempo of engagements and interactions with Nigerians, visiting several cities, towns and remote villages across the nation and beyond.
We printed posters, made a few t-shirts, banners, rented public address systems, set up communication teams, paid for gasoline, and got a lot done with so little.
Our team is grateful to donors across Nigeria and beyond who continue to support us to wage a compact and very effective campaign against Nigeria’s moneybags and political godfathers/godmothers.
There is no question that today #TakeItBack has been recognized as the most visible political movement of young, agile, irrepressible, tireless and focused citizens desirous of making political history with unquenchable thirst for social, political and economic justice. We are in the verge of making history. Please do not relent wherever you may be.
We continue to encourage you to support our revolutionary movement. Together we will defeat the tired, dysfunctional and corrupt old order. Nothing can stop an idea whose time has come!
Thank you so much.

Nota Bene: Please note that during our trip to Italy (Treviso and Napoli), Germany (Berlin) and Spain (Barcelona) we returned to Nigeria with approximately €2000 from proceeds of donations bu compatriots. We are grateful to #TakeItBack Movement members across Europe for doing such a fantastic job hosting us.
In the next few days we will be in Edmonton and Calgary in Canada, Detroit, Atlanta and Milwaukee and possibly San Francisco in the US. We’ll also be in Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland before returning to Nigeria. ”
