A dog walker has relived the terrifying moment he tried to stop a student’s ex-boyfriend from killing her as he stabbed her 75 times.
Benjamin Morton told Maidstone Crown Court there was so much blood that the killer’s leg literally slipped out of his hands as he tried to stop him.
Joshua Stimpson, 25, followed Molly McLaren, 23, to a gym in Chatham, Kent, and after laying in wait he carried out the horrific attack as she sat in the front seat of her car.
The couple had broken up on June 17 and the attack happened 12 days later. Mr Morton said he heard a ‘commotion’ and saw the attack in progress.
He said: “I stepped forward and could see it wasn’t just a fight, that the woman seemed to be being attacked by the man.
