President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday congratulated the former Managing Director of National Concord Newspapers and first female Editor-in-Chief of a daily, Dr. Doyinsola Abiola, on her 73rd birthday.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President Buhari joined the media and banking industry, the entire Abiola family and all friends and well-wishers of Abiola in rejoicing with her.
He described her as a “highly resourceful and intellectually savvy journalist.”
He said he joined others in celebrating the many years of laudable achievements and awards, especially her pacesetting role for women in journalism.
