The Department of Petroleum Resources has sealed three petrol stations in Maidguri for sharp practices.
The offenses committed by the petrol stations include failure to dispense fuel, pricing and under-dispensing, among others.
The Zonal Coordinator, DPR Maiduguri office, Ali Zoaka, who led a monitoring team in Maiduguri on Tuesday, warned that the department would no longer allow impunity by petroleum marketers in the state to continue.
He said it was unfortunate that some fuel stations were reaping off customers and it left them with no other options but to get them sealed.
He said the sealed stations deliberately refused to dispense the product to customers and some adjusted their pump to dispense below the standard level.
