Okopoly suspends chief librarian

The Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, has suspended its Chief librarian, Dr. Fredrick Obodoeze, for alleged incompetence.

The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr. Obini Onuchukwu, in a statement, said the suspension would last three months.

Onuchukwu said the suspension was decided at the plenary session of the council held on Tuesday.

The statement partly read, “Obodoeze was suspended from duty for a period of three months following his inability to manage the affairs of the institution’s ultra-modern library.

“Handing down the council’s resolution on the matter, the chairman, on behalf of the council, warned other errant staff of the institution to sit up and take their responsibilities serious in order to justify their salaries.
