My mum is the best –Basorge Tariah
For the fact that she gave birth to me, my mother, Doris Tariah, is my hero. Even though I have other siblings, I am very close to her and that’s because we were together in Cross River State during the Nigeria Civil War, while the others were in Rivers State.
She never asked me to choose a particular career and she always supported my activities from when I was a dancer, footballer, comedian and actor. I really appreciate her and even though it may sound cliché, I believe I have the best mother in the world. The funny thing is that she bears the same name with my wife.
I usually celebrate Mother’s Day by putting up her picture on my social media accounts for two days. Then I would call her and get her a smal gift. This year, I would do the same thing. She recently had an operation and I wish I can travel to Port Harcourt to be with her but…
