There is no doubt that there is a need to improve health care delivery in the country. A situation where many Nigerians, including government functionaries and their families, travel abroad for medical check-ups and treatment leaves much to be desired.
A country as endowed as Nigeria should have a better organised health care delivery system. It is sad that Nigeria is till ranked among the poorest in this area.
It goes without saying that properly a and sustainable strategies must be adopted to advance the nation’s health care system.
First and foremost, the Federal Government should implement provisions of the National Health Act.
