Former presidential aspirant, Professor Remi Shonaiya, shares some of her life experiences with Ademola Olonilua in this interview

Did you have fun while growing up in Ibadan?

Oh yes! I did. I had a wonderful time growing up in Ibadan and my childhood days were fun. I was actually born in Lagos but my parents moved to Ibadan when my father was posted there because he worked as a bursar at King’s College, Lagos. I was one year old when they relocated to Ibadan and I grew up in this very nice environment which was the St. Luke’s College. My father later got employment in the school and my mother started a nursery school within the compound of the college. My primary school was at St. Luke’s Demonstration College, that was the environment that I grew up and it was wonderful. I remember going out with my parents and we were very excited when the first skyscraper in Nigeria, Cocoa…
