20 lawmakers endorse Okorocha’s son-in-law for gov

Amidst the controversies surrounding Governor Rochas Okorocha’s endorsement of his son-in-law, Chief Uche Nwosu as his successor in 2019, 20 out of the 27 members of the Imo State House of Assembly have thrown their weight behind Nwosu.

The member of the state House of Assembly representing Oguta Constituency, Mr. Henry Ezeediaro, told SUNDAY PUNCH on Saturday that the lawmakers resolved to endorse Nwosu because of their belief in his capacity to sustain the legacies of the All Progressives Congress administration in the state.

Ezediaro listed the legislators, who endorsed Nwosu, to include the Deputy Speaker of the House, Mr. Ugonna Ozuruigbo (Nwangele  constituency); a former Majority Leader of the House, Mr. Luguard Osuji (Owerri Municipal); and other lawmakers representing Owerri North, Oru East, Ideato North, Ngor Okpala, Isu and Njaba constituencies.
