Police have launched another murder investigation today after the eighth killing in London in just one week.
A man in his early 20s was stabbed in a fight at the Stratford Centre in east London at 9.30pm last night. Paramedics couldn’t save him and he died from his injuries at 10.30pm.
The attacks follow a worrying spate of violence across London in the past seven days. Officers have arrested three men in connection with a fatal stabbing in Southall, west London, on Monday.
The 48-year-old man from Slough took himself to hospital with a serious stab wound just after 5pm, but he died less than an hour later.
Police arrested two men, aged 24 and 19, in West Drayton, Middlesex, and a 32-year-old man in Southall on suspicion of murder.
A 23-year-old man who was stabbed and shot to death in Enfield on Saturday has been named as Russell Jordan Jones.
