Ebonyi State Police Command has concluded arrangements to arraign a woman named Nkechi Barth (45 years) in court for allegedly battering a 12-year-old girl, Miss Faith Nwanja, by inflicting damage on her female reproductive organs.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Lovet Odah, disclosed this in Abakaliki, the state capital, while briefing newsmen on the arrest of the suspect in Onitsha, Anambra State by operatives of the command.
She said that investigation into the matter had been concluded while the suspect, who was currently in police custody, would soon be arraigned in court.
The PPRO said that the suspect committed the offence in February 2018, and added that the police had been on her trail until last Friday when she was finally arrested.
