Interesting reactions greeted my piece (‘’HUSBANDS’’) of last week…some of which portray disturbing pessimism towards the marital institution.
And I thought it necessary to touch on an important REALITY again.
Someone opined that marriage is beginning to feel like a burden.

Let’s be mindful of what we tag BURDEN in relationships…especially one as ‘redeeming’ as marriage.
One of the banes of marriages of this age is the EASY route to everything…enabled by the ‘distractions’ out there.
Otherwise, an institution such as marriage should have a good dose of SELFLESSNESS/SACRIFICES as one of its tripod stands.
I am aware though, that some people do indeed expect the ‘humanly impossible’ of others.
