A 32-year-old man, Dayo Fashina, who allegedly forcefully evicted his relative from her apartment and stole N65,000 on Friday appeared in a Surulere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
The accused was brought before the court on three counts of break-in, stealing and conducting himself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Christopher Okoliko, told the court that the accused committed the offences on July 17, at about 5.00 p.m at No. 3/5, Olubunmi Alonge St., Ijeshatedo, Surulere.

He said that the accused had forcefully ejected Adeshope Fashina, a relative, from one of the apartments she was occupying and also stole her N65,000.
The offences contravened sections 168, 287 and 307 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
