Greece wildfire death toll rises to 74, as firefighters battle inferno – Punch Newspapers

The death toll from wildfires ravaging the region around the Greek capital Athens rose to 74 on Tuesday, a firefighting official said.

Fire service spokeswoman Stavroula Maliri raised the toll from an earlier count of 60.

She said the toll was not yet final since firefighters were still searching for victims.
