Portland Trailblazers’ Al-Farouq Aminu, along with his brother Alade and Ikechukwu Nwamu are among the 12 players invited by national men’s basketball team’s coach Alex Nwora for the third phase of qualifiers for the China 2019 FIBA Men’s World Cup in September.

Nwora on Friday named 12 players for the next round of the qualifiers to be hosted in Lagos between September 14 and 16.

The 12-man team are expected to report to camp on September 6.

The list is headlined by Al-Farouq, who is returning to D’Tigers after he has been out since their FIBA AfroBasket triumph in 2015. He is joined by other members of the 2015 team Alade, Nwamu, captain Ike Diogu who recently joined BayamanVasqueros in Puerto Rico, Benjamin Uzoh, Ikenna Iroegbu, Bryant Mbamalu and Stanley Okoye.
