As stakeholders are waiting for the governorship rerun in Osun State coming up on Thursday, one of the parties that took part in the election, the Peoples Democratic Change, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission to declare the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the winner of the poll.
The PDC said there was a need for the electoral commission to comply with the provision of the constitution of the country, which, according to him, was superior to the electoral act.
In a statement issued by the Osun State Secretary of the party, Mr Adegboyega Bepo, and made available to our correspondent in Akure on Tuesday, the PDC said the PDP had met all the requirements of the constitution in the election.
