Ike Ekweremadu, Deputy Senate President, has invited the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe him, saying his hands are clean.
Last week, the EFCC asked Ekweramadu to report to its office to offer explanations on why his name featured prominently in a money laundering case currently being investigated by the commission.
However, speaking on Sunday evening when the Archbishop of Enugu Province, Anglican Communion, Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma, led a delegation of clergies of Enugu Diocese of the Church on a solidarity visit to his Enugu residence, Ekweremadu assured his supporters that invitation was part of the best efforts of the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government to remove him from office, which would eventually fail.
