President Muhammadu Buhari has charged the Nigerian Army to be “as ruthless as humanly possible” in the bid to ensure security.
He stated this at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Airport, Katsina, which is the operational base for the Air Force’s Operation Diran Mikiya, established to support ground troops to tackle banditry in Zamfara and neighbouring states.
Buhari met with military officers at the airport, before he departed Katsina for Abuja, on Saturday.
