Honourable Israel Goli, the lawmaker representing Brass Constituency 1 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of intimidation regarding his decision to contest the Nembe/Brass Federal Constituency in 2019.
Dickson had alleged that Goli was behind the killings in Bayelsa, and subsequently ordered for his arrest.
However, Goli, who denied all the allegations against him, stated that the PDP was after him because of the Nembe/ Brass House of Representatives Federal Constituency seat, for which he is contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Noting that he had refused overtures to defect to PDP and contest for the seat on its platform, said he has come under attack, he said the PDP-led government “is looking for ways to prosecute him on trumped-up charges because of his rising political profile”.
