A magistrate court in Ogba, Lagos, has arraigned 29-year-old Wasiu Kabiru, class teacher at the Down Syndrome Foundation in Surulere, Lagos, who allegedly defiled a 17-year-old student of the school.
Following his arrest by the Police, he was taken before a magistrate court on Wednesday, where he pleaded not guilty to a two-count charge on sexual molestation.
The charge read in part: “That you, Wasiu Kabiru, between June and August 2018, being a class teacher at Down Syndrome Foundation on Adegoke Street, Masha Road, Surulere, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully had carnal knowledge of the victim, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 216 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State Nigeria 2015.”
Kabiru allegedly defiled the teenage girl in the school toilet.
