Delta Assembly suspends another member

A few weeks after slamming a three-month suspension on former Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Monday Igbuya, the House, again, on Thursday, during plenary, suspended the member representing Burutu II constituency, Kennedy Daubry, for three months.

Both Igbuya and Daubry had since defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) before the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-dominated House handed down the suspension order.

But Majority Leader of the House, Tim Owhefere, who moved the latest motion to suspend Hon. Daubry, said the embattled lawmaker had displayed character in recent times that was unbecoming of a legislator.

Owhefere’s motion was seconded by the Deputy Speaker, Friday Osanebi before it was unanimously adopted through voice vote during Thursday’s plenary which was presided over by the Speaker, Sheriff Oborevwori.
