PDP member writes Secondus over Anambra South ticket

A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ikechukwu Bonaventure, has petitioned the National Chairman of the party, Prince Secondus, over the candidature for Anambra South Senatorial District.

In the petition, Bonaventure observed that no candidate’s name has been submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following alleged controversy surrounding the educational qualification of the winner of the primary.

He said three people contested for the Anambra South ticket, Chief Chris Uba, Dr. Obinna Uzoh and Chuma Nzeribe, but during the screening, only one of the aspirants was cleared in Awka.

He said one of the aspirants was cleared by the appeal panel, while the third was cleared in Abuja.

Bonaventure said the PDP should explain why aspirants would circumvent the screening committee if all was well with them.
