The House of Representatives has faulted reports that President Muhammadu Buhari questioned the institution of the National Assembly saying that such will be detrimental to the survival of the nation’s democracy. Spokesman for the House, Hon. Abdulrazaq Namdas, said this yesterday while reacting to media reports in which the president allegedly stated that members of the National Assembly were not doing anything to advance the cause of governance. Namdas said the president, like any other citizen of Nigeria, has the right to his opinion over the performance of individual lawmakers but stressed that he cannot question the role of the parliament.
