Minister Decries Low Pace Of Work On Lagos-Ibandan Rail — Leadership Newspaper

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Ameachi has decried the current low pace of work at the Lagos-Ibadan rail line.

The Minister, who made the observation at the monthly inspection of the rail project in Ibadan, Oyo state said the continuous rainfall has delayed the work and made it impossible to achieve the 11m track laying daily.

Amaechi, who stated that the company handling the project, the CCECC has the ability to achieve the daily target, insisted that the dealing of December, 2018 to January, 2019 is still on track.

The minister, who had maintained that as the scope of the project was getting wider on daily basis, it was important to employ various artisans and technicians on the field to handle some areas of the project, insisted on meeting the qualified engineers, employed to understudy the CCECC by next month.
