Varsity Workers May Resume Strike Next Week — Leadership Newspaper

Barely three months after the three main non-teaching staff unions in the university sector suspended their strike, there are indications that the Workers may next week, resume the suspended strike, after what they described as failure of government to honour agreement reached with their unions.
The unions had in March suspended their previous strike action which coincidentally, lasted for three months.
The unions included non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU), the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), and National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT)
Speaking to journalists in Abuja, NASU general secretary and vice president of NLC, Peters Adeyemi said the government has failed to honour agreement reached with the unions which led to the suspension of the strike.
