FG Inaugurates SDGs-6 Team — Leadership Newspaper

In order to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the water sector in Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Water Resources inaugurated SDGs-6 team in Abuja, yesterday.
The programme themed: “National Coordination Workshop on the Achievement of SDGs-6 in Nigeria” is a two day workshop that was declared open by the permanent secretary of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Dr. Ibrahim Musa.
In his address, Dr. Musa said the reason for the workshop was for the new appointees to come together and work as a team in order to share experiences and achieve desirable results from the uncompleted agenda of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).He lamented that despite all efforts put by the then Millennium Development Goals to achieve a sanitary environment on water, Nigeria could not achieve its targets, hence, the need for the team to focus on Clean Water and Sanitation.
