Anxiety As NFF Elections Held In Katsina Today — Leadership Newspaper

Baring any last minute hitches, the elective congress of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) election will today hold in the ancient city of Katsina with four candidates seeking to become the next president of the crisis-hit NFF.
The four candidates seeking to take charge of the running of Nigeria’s football for the next four years are incumbent Amaju Pinnick, former president, Aminu Maigari, Taiwo Ogunjobi and Chinedu Okoye.
Although there were fears in some quarters that the National Association of Nigerian Footballers (NANF) had attempted to stop the elections from holding,even as Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung had branded the electoral gathering as ‘illegal’.
However, football world governing body, FIFA and Confederation of African Football, (CAF) have given their approval to the electoral process by sending their observers to the elections.
