Court Remands Togolese Cook In Prison Over Murder Of Boss — Leadership Newspaper

A Lagos State Magistrate Court sitting in Igbosere on Monday remanded a 22-year-old Togolese cook, Sunday Adefonou Anani, in prison over the alleged murder of his boss, Opeyemi Badamosi Chairman of Credit Switch Technology.

Chief Magistrate Mrs O.O Oshin ordered that Anani be kept in custody pending the release of a Legal Advice on the position of the case by the office of the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).

The accused person was brought before the court on a one count charge of murder, which the police claimed he committed on October 31, 2018, at the deceased’s resident at 3b, Onikoyi Lane, Parkview Estate Ikoyi Lagos.

The police alleged that Anani, in order to rob the deceased, stabbed him to death with a kitchen knife.

According to the charge the offence committed is contrary to section 222 and Punishable Under section 223 of the Criminal laws of Lagos State 2015.
