A non-governmental organisation, Priests Peace and Justice Initiative (PPI) has called for the immediate and unconditional release of the remaining Dapchi girl, Leah Sharibu who has spent over 237 days in Boko Haram captivity.
Speaking during the initiative’s peaceful protest at the weekend in Abuja, the general overseer, Palace of Priests Assembly, Dr Otive Igbuzor, urged the federal government to ensure the unconditional release of Sharibu and other captives held against their will by the terrorists.
“Leah Sharibu is in the hands of the wicked, we’ve prayed, we’re now making a demand on them that they should release her and all other people held unconditionally. And we’re calling on the federal government to do everything possible to ensure her immediate release so that she can join her family. 237 days is an unimaginable nightmare for the parents of the abducted girl.
